Reading Insulation was founded in 2022 by a team that had spent years working inside Reading's oldest neighborhoods, insulating row homes on narrow city blocks, crawl spaces under Victorian houses near the Pagoda, and basements a few blocks from the Schuylkill River. They saw the same problem on every job: homes built 80 or 100 years ago with no insulation at all, and homeowners paying for it every winter in heating bills that never seemed to come down.
The company started small, serving homeowners in Reading and the surrounding boroughs of West Reading, Wyomissing, and Laureldale. Word spread, and the service area grew to cover 12 communities across southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. The business has stayed locally owned and operated, with every project managed by someone based here, not dispatched from a regional office two hours away.
The focus has never changed: help homeowners in this part of Pennsylvania get the insulation their homes actually need, done by people who know what a pre-war row home looks like from the inside.
